Manajemen Pengelolaan Limbah Pasien Covid-19 Di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Makassar

Penanganan pasien COVID-19 yang sangat meningkat di Indonesia mengakibatkan peningkatan timbunan limbah medis B3 rumah sakit secara signifikan, sehingga membutuhkan sistem manajemen pengelolan limbah rumah sakit yang sesuai dengan standar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan gambaran manajemen pengelolaan limbah pasien COVID-19 di RSUD Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik observasi langsung dan wawancara. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala bagian sanitasi IPAL, penanggung jawab pengelola limbah padat, dan operator IPAL, Tenaga Kesehatan dan Cleaning Service. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pengelolaan limbah pasien COVID-19 dipisahkan dengan limbah pasien non COVID-19 meliputi proses pewadahan, pemilahan, pengangkutan, sedangkan pengolahan dan pemusnahan dilakukan oleh pihak ke tiga diluar rumah sakit. Semua proses manajemen pengelolaan limbah pasien COVID-19 di RSUD Kota Makassar sudah sesuai dengan standar pedoman pengelolan limbah pasien COVID-19 dari Kementrian Kesehatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa manajemen pengelolaan limbah pasien covi-19 di RSUD Kota Makassar telah sesuai dengan pedoman pengelolaan limbah rumah sakit rujukan pasien COVID-19. Saran untuk pihak rumah sakit agar dapat mengupayakan pengolahan dan pemusnahan limbah di rumah sakit baik dengan cara incinerator maupun autoclave
