Publication Schedule

Madago Nursing Journal (MNJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to disseminating scientific findings that advance nursing knowledge, evidence-based practice, nursing education, and the quality of healthcare.

The journal publishes two regular issues per year, in May and November, to support the regular and timely dissemination of scholarly contributions.

Publication Frequency and Schedule

Madago Nursing Journal follows a semiannual publication schedule, with one volume comprising two regular issues each calendar year:

  • Issue 1: May

  • Issue 2: November

Manuscripts may be submitted throughout the year. Assignment to a particular issue depends on successful completion of peer review, final acceptance, completion of production requirements, and the availability of space in the scheduled issue.

Submission or acceptance does not guarantee publication in the nearest issue.

Article in Press

Where implemented, MNJ may make accepted manuscripts available online through an Article in Press system before their inclusion in a regular issue.

Articles designated as Article in Press must have completed the required editorial evaluation and peer-review process, received final acceptance, and undergone the necessary preparation for online publication.

These articles may initially appear without complete volume, issue, or pagination details. Final bibliographic information will be provided when the articles are assigned to a regular issue.

Articles published through this system are subject to the same scientific, ethical, and editorial standards as articles published in regular issues.

Manuscripts in Progress

In Progress refers to manuscripts undergoing editorial screening, peer review, revision, copyediting, proofreading, or other production stages.

The status In Progress does not indicate final acceptance or guarantee publication. Manuscripts may proceed to publication only after fulfilling the journal’s editorial requirements and receiving formal acceptance from an authorized editor.

Processing times vary according to manuscript complexity, reviewer availability, the extent of revisions, author responsiveness, and production requirements. MNJ seeks to process submissions efficiently while maintaining the quality and integrity of editorial evaluation.

Publication Regularity and Editorial Policy

Madago Nursing Journal is committed to maintaining its publication schedule in May and November and ensuring that published articles meet the journal’s scientific, ethical, and editorial standards.

Editorial decisions are based on manuscript quality, methodological rigor, relevance to the journal’s scope, and compliance with publication ethics. Publication schedules must not compromise the integrity of peer review or editorial assessment.

Any changes to the publication frequency or schedule will be communicated through the journal’s official website. The Editorial Board may adjust article placement when necessary because of editorial, technical, or operational considerations.
